Shaun White Snowboarding was released in November of 2008 and is a snowboarding sports game based on the skill and riding style of Shaun White. It was released on that date for the Wii, PS3, and the XBOX 360 consoles. So far no other consoles have been optioned. The game is based on the popular Assassin’s Creed engine and put out by the software company Ubisoft. There are single player modes and multiplayer modes to the game play, so the gamer can team up with a partner for fun. It has a rating of T for Teen for the XBOX 360, PS3, and the PC version by the ESRB rating system.
On the Xbox 360, in the marketplace section of the interface portion, there are those items that can be bought with Microsoft points and those items that can be downloaded for free. Anyone that registers their Xbox 360 can get a free silver account (new registrants can also receive a free one month gold account as well). With this silver account one is able to download content straight from the marketplace for the console.

This was released 1-15-2009 and is 16 MB in download size. It has a few outfits so that you can dress up your character and get your distinct look going on. It is good to include this in with the other outfits, so that the player has a range of items that they can wear.

This trailer was released on 11-13-2008 and is 14 MB in size to download. This shows some of the environments found in the game, and highlights some key factors to its playing style. This is nice to see as a promotion for the game if background to the game is important.

This picture portfolio was put out on 11-18-2008 and is 188 MB in download size. It was put out by Target and has many different pictures in the download. Not something that everyone will like, as it doesn’t add specifically to the gaming experience, but free nonetheless.
Shaun White Snowboarding Theme
This theme highlights the snowboarding theme to the game and was released on 11-18-2008. It is a hefty 812 MB in the size of the download. It too is a theme that is brought to the gamer via Target stores.
Between the theme, the pic pack, the trailer, and the clothes, there is a little something for everyone available to download. Perhaps more downloadable content (DLC) will be available in the future for this game, keep an eye on the marketplace!
