Looking for cheap video games and video game deals? Learn how save money with Black Friday Sales Events, Ads, and Specials when shopping for video games in this article.

For those truly dedicated to buying cheap video games and saving money during the holiday, there's no better day to shop than Black Friday. Read below for some money saving tips for Black Friday sales and video game deals.

Shop in Groups on the Day After Thanksgiving Sales

Shopping in groups means each person can split off and grab deals in a far more efficient manner. With a group of 4-6 people, each member should look through the ads and see what video game sales they are most interested in. After all the video game deals are collected, each person should be assigned to a particular section or particular deal offered in the store.

For example, the group may divide three people into console bundles, video games, and accessories, where one person is responsible for retrieving the entire group's items for the one section. This should only be attempted by close friends and family, as the group must divide the items up and pay each other back after checking out and leaving the store.

Plan Ahead to Save Money on Black Friday Deals

Many Black Friday ads leak well in advance of the day itself, but some stores manage to keep their deals hidden until the early morning. Even if planning ahead means waking up extra early the day of, shoppers should locate the best video game deals of their interest and focus on those. Focusing on a few deals at just 1 or 2 stores increases the likelihood of grabbing the deals before they run out, and making it into the line before it stretches to the end of the store and around.

Black Friday shoppers should also scope out the store(s) of their interest before the day of the sale, and make sure to note when the stores will open for Black Friday. Getting a feel for the store's layout can help shoppers locate deals much faster. However, shoppers should also beware that a store's layout may change for the Day After Thanksgiving sale. And knowing when each store opens allows shoppers the option of visiting multiple stores for additional deals.

Leafing through the leaked Black Friday ads is one of the best ways to plan ahead. Gamers should also keep in mind that the best video game deals are not always exclusive to stores with a video game focus like Gamestop or an electronics focus like Best Buy, so it's best to look through all the ads just in case.

Wake Up Early to Catch Doorbusters and the Best Video Game Deals

For those unaware of Black Friday lingo, a "doorbuster" is a sale or special deal of limited quantity that the store owners or managers expect will sell out rapidly. Some stores, such as Best Buy or Circuit City, even give out tickets before the store opens to those in the front of the line who wish to purchase the doorbuster sales. While some may scoff at such a practice, it does give more order to the Black Friday sales.

If a doorbuster sale is of interest, arriving at the store early is even more imperative than normal. To get the best deals, some shoppers literally camp out, tents and all, as the store closes the night before. While this is rarely necessary for those seeking cheap video games, since the most popular doorbuster items are usually HD TVs and laptops at huge discounts, "the early bird gets the worm" still holds true to gamers.

In the end, arriving earlier will likely save time in the long run. The first 20 or so customers can usually get everything they need and checkout within 20 minutes. Even the first 30 or 50 (depending on each individual store's service) can usually retrieve all their items and check out in less than an hour. But much more than that, and customers should expect to wait in line for a long time.

Money Saving Tips on Black Friday Video Game Deals Conclusion

Some may not consider all the hassle and chaos to be worth the effort. For those who would rather not wake up before dawn to wait several hours to bump elbows with hectic holiday shoppers, some stores and online retailers offer Black Friday deals online, though, considering the congested traffic on websites during such sales events, getting the desired deals is not always reliable.
