Mafia Live: Stats and Stuff

Easy Tips for Health, Energy, Stamina & Experience

If you're looking for something to occupy that awkward time between life and responsibility, Mafia Live might be for you. Explore the joys of this addicting iPhone app.

Navigating through Mafia Live, the popular iPhone application is no easy task for beginners. Its baffling user interface gives few clues to those new to the game. While it’s possible to search the Internet for useful information, that type of research can take hours. Check out these useful tips on figuring out some of the puzzling lessons within the game:

Stats

After the obligatory newb lessons in the game setup, it’s time to start making sense of the stats that are default to each player’s chosen class. These stats play a crucial role in being able to do jobs and fights and essentially leveling and making money. For each job and/or fight participated in, some stat points will be depleted. Here’s the low down on each one:

Energy

  • Is only depleted by doing jobs.
  • Each job description will explain how much energy it’ll take to perform that task.
  • When a job is chosen, the amount of energy it takes to do that job will be automatically removed.

Stamina

  • Is only used by fighting.
  • Each fight takes exactly one stamina point to perform.

Health

  • Is only depleted by fights.
  • The amount of health each fight depletes varies depending on a little luck, who the opponent is and what they are armed with.
  • Each player must have at least 20 health points in order to fight.

Note: The Dal Dattore is always available to heal a player for a nominal fee.

Experience

  • Is never depleted.
  • Is used solely for leveling.
  • Points are earned by doing jobs and fighting.
  • Each job varies in the amount of experience one can earn and the more a player levels the more the jobs offer in experience.
  • Fighting gives a fixed amount of two experience points every time the player that initiated the fight wins.

Banking

When a player begins to earn money, it’ll accumulate in the top left hand box of the application screen labeled “Cash”. But, it might as well be called the little box of broke because that’s what the player will be if they leave their money there. It’s important to bank accumulated cash at every opportunity by using the “bank” link on the “My Hood” page. There will be a 10% fee for every transaction but it pales in comparison to how much a player will lose to the die-hards that wait until 4am to bombard a player with fights and take them for all their worth.

That’s right; losing money is part of the game. Fighting is a two way street. Each player can initiate a fight with another player within their level range and to the victor go the spoils. There are no actual fisticuffs being displayed but one will feel like they’ve been donkey punched the first time they wake up to find that they’ve been hit by the same person five times in a row for tons of hard earned money. Banking often (even several times throughout the night) is the best line of defense.

Zen Master

Every time a player levels up, they will receive five “Zen Master” points. These points are structured to be allocated into stat points or to increase a player’s attack and defense power. Of course, the way a player allocates these points will depend upon their objectives for the game. For players interested in leveling, add points to energy. For those looking to get involved in a lot of fights, consider bulking up stamina as well as attack and defense. Whatever the goal, don’t waste points in health. And, remember to visit the Dal Dattore for a quick heal when in need.

If one can manage to process all of this critical information, they stand to be far ahead of the game. But, it’s a long climb to the top. The idea is to always keep an objective in mind and stick to it. But, don’t be afraid to take chances. Use these tips along with a strong commitment to be one of the baddest mamajamas in the game.
